We are on the lookout for a hands-on, and detail-oriented Director to lead our Finance Operations team and play a critical role in the continued growth and success of our company.

This is not just a managerial roleit is a role best suited for someone who likes to be involved in operations, engaged, and hands-on. It requires someone who can take ownership, execute efficiently, and drive processes forward.

This position is perfect for individuals with a banking background, who also understand the Cryptocurrency space with a proactive, doer mentality.

Responsibilities and Expectations

As the Director, Finance Operations, you will be deeply involved in day-to-day operations, managing the trading operations department while leading and improving finance and operational frameworks. Your focus will be on the flow of funds, financial controls, risk management, and banking/payment infrastructure.

Team & Process Management

• • Hands-on management of the Settlements and Mid-Office team and their workflows.
  • Become an expert in their processes to improve, revise, and back them up as needed.
  • Actively engage with the trading desk, finance department, and clients to ensure smooth workflows.
  • Ensure on-call schedules are properly managed to provide maximum client coverage.

Financial Reconciliation & Controls

• • Oversee and manage the reconciliation of:
    • Client balances
    • FX and currency fluctuations
    • Trades and ticket reports
    • Fireblocks accounts across various workspaces
    • Weighted average calculations for inventory calculation
  • Ensure proper verification and reconciliation of multi-currency accounts.
  • Establish and oversee risk management frameworks related to trading, treasury, and fund flow.

Banking & Payment Infrastructure

• • Manage the expansion and optimization of banking rails and payment routes.
  • Maintain strong relationships with banks, liquidity providers (LPs), and funding partners.

Trade & Client Reporting

• • Thoroughly review and reconcile monthly trade reports to ensure accurate customer and LP provider balances.
  • Validate reports for errors and ensure accuracy before submission.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.

Technology Contributions

• • Serve as the Middle Office SME for new IT projects and product development.
  • Define business requirements, provide feedback, and contribute to testing.

Qualifications

• • Education:
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation (Required).
    • Advanced degree in Finance or Accounting (Preferred).
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in a finance operations role in the banking industry, with 10+ years of experience in finance or Accounting overall.
    • Strong understanding of financial controls, and financial reporting
    • Proven ability to lead and manage a team and implement new or revised processes
    • Knowledge of the cryptocurrency space
    • Experience with trading operations and settlement processes.
    • Experience with platforms like Fireblocks
  • Skills:
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (Required).
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy (Required).
    • Ability to conduct reconciliations of multi-currency accounts, FX, Cryptocurrency and Weighted Average Calculations
