QAQC Field Technician

Job Summary: As a QAQC Field Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of plumbing projects at multiple sites. Completing the start-up of large gas fired mechanical equipment including documentation, as well as responding to warranty requests from completed projects. You will work closely with our A gas fitter to ensure all mechanical equipment is installed correctly, conducting field reviews of mechanical rooms while under construction.

Journeymen are either experienced at leading a project area or are interested in developing their leadership skills.

The following abilities are a must:

  • 4-5 years of plumbing experience
  • Red Seal Certification, Plumbing (Class B Gas ticket is a plus)
  • Full understanding of drawings and specifications for Mechanical, Architectural, Structural with the ability to coordinate with other disciplines
  • Proficient in material take-off and material procurement
  • Read and interpret documents such as work orders, manuals and maintenance instructions.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions as required
  • Contribute to site/company culture by completing job duties with a positive attitude

Key Responsibilities:

  • As the QAQC Field Technician, you will be working closely with our A gas fitter and aftercare team to complete assigned tasks to manufacturer and design specifications
  • You will create daily reports and work reports as jobs are completed
  • Complete walkthroughs and suite checks as sites progress
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities
  • Ensure that all finishing work is completed to the highest standards of quality and in compliance with relevant codes and regulations
  • Team Management; supervise and mentor a team of plumbers and apprentices.
  • Provide guidance, support, and training to team members to enhance their skills and productivity
  • Address and rectify any issues or deficiencies promptly, and communicate these deficiencies to the required parties
  • Process Development; actively participate in the development and improvement of plumbing systems and processes
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency enhancements
  • Documentation; maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and any issues encountered
