The Accounting Analyst plays a key role in analyzing and forecasting the financial performance of events while also supporting boarder organizational financial goals. This position conducts event-based financial analyses, prepares forecasts, and provides insights to guide decision-making. Working closely with the event fulfillment teams, the Accounting Analyst helps develop and monitors event budgets, evaluates profitability, and develops financial projection. Additionally, this role provides back up support for key accounting functions to ensure operational continuity.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed financial analyses and reporting to support both event-based and organizational financial objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial planning with strategic goals.
- Monitor event budgets, track revenues and expenses, and provide feedback to optimize financial performance.
- Serve as a backup for key accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable to maintain operational continuity
- Identify financial trends, opportunities, and risks to support decision making.
- Develop and maintain financial forecasts, budgets, and projections for events and organizational initiatives.
- Prepare variance analyses comparing actual performance against forecast and budgets
- Conduct post event financial reviews and provide recommendations on improvements
- Generate various types of reports and dashboards that communicate key trends and performance indicators.
- Provide data-driven insights to inform strategic decision making
- Continuously enhance financial processes, tools, and reporting systems to improve accuracy, efficiency and compliance with accounting standards.
- Support initiative to optimize financial planning, profitability tracking, and overall financial operations.
- Adapt to evolving organizational needs and take on additional responsibilities or ad hoc projects as required.

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience
- A combination of Education and Experience will be considered
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Financial Software
- Strong ability to interpret and present financial data to non-financial stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical handling of financial information
