Role Summary
Were looking for a proactive and detail-oriented IT Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team. In this role, youll be at the heart of our IT operations, ensuring systems and devices run smoothly, supporting internal users, and driving the adoption and optimization of key platforms like Microsoft 365, NetSuite (ERP), and other essential business applications across desktop, mobile, and cloud environments. Youll play a vital role in developing our IT infrastructure to support future growth, collaborating across departments to ensure seamless system performance, and providing solutions that help our business thrive.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, Entra ID), ensuring performance, security, and availability.
- Provide technical support for Microsoft 365, Exchange, SharePoint, and IT-related issues, including troubleshooting, documentation, and employee training.
- Manage SharePoint environments, ensuring site structure, security, and integration with Microsoft 365.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure, and support upgrades for enhanced security, cost efficiency, and performance.
- Set up and maintain IT equipment (laptops, mobile devices, printers, network resources), ensuring seamless onboarding and support.
- Implement security policies, monitor threats, conduct audits, support risk management, and recommend enhancements to protect systems and data.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure business continuity.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls, ensuring security compliance and best practices.
- Administer software licensing, ensure compliance, and develop IT policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
- Configure and maintain backups, retention policies, and disaster recovery plans to protect business data and enable quick recovery.
- Support the upkeep of enterprise systems, assisting with updates, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in an IT-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Information Technology).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT Administrator or a similar support role.
- Proven experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 security practices, including identity and access management, conditional access policies, data loss prevention (DLP), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- Proficiency in PowerShell for scripting and Power Automate for automation within the Microsoft 365 platform.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to recommend effective technical solutions.
- Ability to make strategic, well-informed decisions and demonstrate resourcefulness.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the modern information technology industry, trends, and applications in relevant domains.
Preferred:
- Microsoft Certified or equivalent training as a Microsoft 365 Administrator.
- Experience working with and administering enterprise systems including ERP, CRM, and HRM systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms is preferred.
- Experience with cybersecurity training/best practices is recommended.
