POSITION SUMMARY

As an integral part of the NFI Group Strategic Sourcing team, the successful candidate will be responsible for executing sourcing strategies for MRO as well as manage MRO Buyers, Procurement Specialists and Commodity Managers. They will plan and direct the negotiations of supply agreements with strategic suppliers, as well as identify new sourcing initiatives and cost reduction strategies that support financial targets and achieve continuous improvement in the NFI Group supply chain performance.

Requirements

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

·Develop supply strategies for assigned commodities in collaboration with Executive Supply Leadership

·Identify, select, and develop suppliers based on the requirements of New Flyer while considering all aspects of supplier performance. This includes managing and improving strategic alliances and relationships with suppliers

·Manage the negotiation of annual pricing, LTAs, and tooling costs with suppliers under the areas of responsibility

· Keep informed of market trends and cost drivers relative to materials and components and make recommendations designed to reduce costs and improve methods for commodities under responsibility

· Assist VP of Strategic Sourcing in the preparation of reports and presentations for Senior Management

· Represent the commodity group in core team meetings established for Program Management of certain contracts or projects

· Responsible to ensure all key controls (ICFR Internal Controls) identified under their area of responsibility are designed and operating as outlined in the internal controls over financial reporting.

· Ensure policies and processes are established and adhered to ensure goals and objectives for all regulatory and legal requirements are met including organizational quality, environmental, health & safety programs.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

· Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Engineering and or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Five to ten years of experience in global sourcing within a manufacturing environment.

·Proven leadership and negotiating skills.

·Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers and work well within a team environment.

·Strong business acumen and ability to converse and present professionally and collaborate with all levels of the organization.

·Strong analytical and organizational skills.

·Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.

·Experience operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with an ability to adapt to and lead change
