- Manage end-to-end payroll processes for Canadian employees and assist with US payroll.
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and other deductions in compliance with local regulations.
- Process and verify payroll transactions, including new hires, terminations, and adjustments.
- Stay current with Canadian payroll regulations and tax laws to ensure compliance.
- Assist with payroll tax filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with relevant authorities and agencies to address any compliance issues.
- Maintain precise records of employee information, payroll transactions, and related documentation.
- Reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, deductions, and taxation.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to address payroll-related issues and provide support as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance payroll efficiency.
- Implement best practices for payroll administration to streamline operations.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll administration, with a focus on Canadian payroll. US payroll experience would be an asset.
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field is preferred but not required.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Proficient in payroll software and systems e.g., ADP, Workday, UKG – UKG experience is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees and cross-functional teams.
