The QC/Survey position requires the successful candidate to be detail orientated and physically fit with the ability to thrive working independently in a fast-paced atmosphere. A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent is preferred. Candidate will be expected to work in both field and laboratory environments to test materials. A minimum Class 5 license is required.

Job Overview and Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspection and testing of aggregate and asphalt materials
• Complete prompt and accurate testing and reporting of results
• Schedule and document utility locates
• Various surveys including job layouts, completed work, aggregate stock piles, and reclamation
• Assist crews as needed
• Understand and follow the Alberta Transportation Traffic Accommodation in Work Zones
• Comply with safe working procedures and practices
• Requires a flexible work schedule including overtime, weekend and out of town work as required during the construction season (May - November)
• Other duties as required
