As we continue to scale, we are seeking to expand our team with a Public Relation Manager.

Role Overview

Moomoo Canada is looking for a highly experienced and dynamic Public Relation Manager to join our growing team. This role is a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting fintech company that blends both traditional brokerage operations and cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and Implementing PR Strategies: Formulate and execute comprehensive PR strategies, aligning with marketing goals and budget considerations to foster positive media awareness.
  • Media Relations: Cultivate and sustain relationships with journalists, editors, and other media professionals, especially within the finance and technology beats; Pitch story ideas and press releases to secure positive media coverage; Manage media inquiries and coordinate interviews.
  • Content Creation: Write and edit press releases, speeches, articles, and other communication materials with a focus on delivering key messages effectively.
  • Crisis/issues Management: Develop crisis communication plans and be ready to respond to and manage issues and crises effectively to mitigate negative publicity.
  • Event Planning: Organize and coordinate various events, press conferences, product launches, and other PR activities.
  • Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor media coverage and public sentiment related to the organization; Analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns and provide detailed reports to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of related experience, preferably with global news organizations or in media relations and corporate communications on in-house or agency roles
  • Strategic Thinking: Possess strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to craft clear and persuasive messages.
  • Previous experience in the financial industry is a valuable asset, especially if you have established connections with local and influential financial media outlets.
