Job DescriptionRESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve sales and profitability targets for your region on an annual basis.
- Direct and coordinate the region's sales personnel activities to ensure their optimal use.
- Assist the Area Manager(s), if applicable, and the Sales Representative(s) to ensure the sales and profits budgets are achieved.
- Manage sales personnel to achieve desired results.
- Maintain stable, motivated and effective sales personnel
- Develop, implement and achieve strategic plans to grow the business and improve our market share.
- Coordinate and implement, along with the AFM's, if applicable, and the Marketing team, programs to increase the region's sales and profitability such as the introduction of new products.
- Ensure the introduction and development of regional sales activities, such as contract review with the customers or distributors.
- Meet regularly with the customers and distributors and act, whenever necessary, as a technical consultant for the selection of the adequate product(s) for a specific job.
- Develop, implement and achieve annual budgeted strategies and targets.
- Prepare the annual sales budget and the three-year sales plan for the region to meet the company's sales and profitability objectives.
- Work in close collaboration with the Customer Service Representatives to help in the planning of the weekly production, and the monthly purchases of resale products.
- Respond to customer complaints.
- All required safety training including WHMIS and confined space
- High level of occupational stress due to adapting to situations, meeting deadlines and managing workload
- A high degree of independence in managing schedules and making decisions on the go.
- Work hours may vary, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate travel schedules and client needs.
- Regular travel to different regions to meet clients, attend meetings, and oversee sales operations.
- Ability to lift up to or exceeding 20KG
- May be required to travel and spend time in remote areas
- Additional duties as assigned.
VEHICLE/DRIVER'S LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
- Company vehicle provided.
- Must have valid ‘G' driver's license and comply with Sika Fleet Safety Policy requirements.
- Regional Sales Manager has responsibility for prudent care and protection of company assets.
- Education: University or College degree in business or technical field of study or appropriate training or equivalent experience in sales and construction (5 to 10 years of experience).
- Proven sales territory development and growth.
- 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Computer literate and willing to upgrade skills.
- Bilingual (French and English, spoken and written, although French is not essential outside the Province of Quebec).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to coach sales staff for skills.
- Strong aptitude to manage, supervise and motivate personnel.
- Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Able to work under pressure and ability to prioritize emergencies.
- Aptitude for team work.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Able to travel frequently.
- EIFS and Masonry product line experience is an asset
