We are looking for a Human Resources Manager for Stone Creek Resorts at our head office in Calgary, Alberta. A successful candidate is required to work as per the company values: Caring, integrity, excellence, team spirit and financial responsibility. This role reports to the CEO and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a passion for creating a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & HR Management:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with Stone Creek Resorts 'business goals.
- Provide leadership in organizational development, workforce planning, and succession planning.
- Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, advising on HR best practices.
Talent Acquisition & Retention:
- Oversee recruitment efforts to attract top talent while promoting diversity and inclusion.
- Develop retention strategies, including career development programs and employee engagement initiatives.
- Implement onboarding programs to ensure new hires integrate smoothly into the company culture.
Employee Relations & Culture:
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with the company's values.
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders on HR-related concerns and conflict resolution.
- Develop and implement policies to support a respectful and compliant work environment.
Performance Management & Development:
- Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and coaching.
- Implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities.
- Drive a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Compensation, Benefits & Compliance:
- Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain talent.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Oversee HR metrics and reporting to drive data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of HR leadership experience, preferably in the hospitality, resort, or luxury service industry.
- Proficiency in using behavioural assessments to pre-screen candidates and performance manage employees and leaders is preferred. Training will be provided.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws (B.C & A.B), and HR best practices.
- Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that drive business success.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience with HRIS systems and data analytics for strategic HR decision-making.
- Travel to resorts as required.
