BGC Okanagan is hiring an Adult, Youth and Child Worker for our Summerland Secondary School Club. This is a term position from March 27, 2025 - June 28, 2025, with the possibility to renew the contract for the next school year.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gathers information relevant to clients problems by interviewing, observing behavior, meeting with caregivers and service providers and using a variety of inventories, checklists and questionnaires. Conducts structured analyses of the information gathered to provide an assessment of clients problems.
• Evaluates client challenges and creates tailored intervention plans for individuals, families, and groups.
• Provides skill-building in areas such as parenting skills, anger management and self-management techniques.
• Monitors clients progress and provides follow-up planning.
• Maintains related records and statistics and provides reports to the supervisor as required.
• Liaises with and/or promotes the interests of clients with other community service providers, professionals and or school personnel as required.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in a related human / social service field, one (1) year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Possess a valid Class 5 BC Drivers license and reliable vehicle with appropriate liability insurance

This position requires union membership.

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday during school hours

Rate of Pay:$27.54 per hour
