The Opportunity

The Data Administrator is responsible for handling incoming email inquiries for the Canadian Insurance Participant Registry (CIPR) database. The incumbent will liaise with representatives from the Authorit des marchs financiers (AMF), course providers and examinees from across the country.

The successful candidate will carry out a number of administrative functions including, but not limited to, handling email inquiries, escalating inquiries where necessary, is expected to work cooperatively with members of the admin services and other Insurance Council teams as well as external stakeholders. The role will involve managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail is critical. This is a 1 year fixed term contract role.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer email inquiries related to support with the CIPR database
  • Escalating requests to other teams within the Insurance Council, or externally to AMF and/or course providers as required
  • Respond to email messages and escalate inquiries as appropriate
  • Provides support for inquiries related to the CIPR database
  • Understanding of Council operations and detailed knowledge of CIPR database requirements and national LLQP program requirements
  • Assist with troubleshooting system issues and escalating to IT when required
  • Assist with testing system improvements/fixes
  • Handles and completes other duties as assigned by Manager

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2-year administrative diploma, preferred
  • Fluent in French is an asset
  • Exceptional accuracy with respect to data entry
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good word processing skills, with a typing speed of 45 wpm
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Punctual, dependable, and able to function well under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good time management skills, ability to meet deadlines, and deal with multiple concurrent tasks
  • Proven ability to handle a variety of clients needs and questions in a helpful, empathetic, and mature manner

Minimum to Midpoint Salary Range: $52,046 - $65,058 per annum.Upon hire, new employees will be placed in a starting salary between the minimum and P50 (midpoint) of the salary range. The P50 of the range represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications, and experience for the position.
