The General Laborer is an entry-level position at Paul Davis, ideal for individuals new to the industry or working towards achieving Technician status. This role is focused on skill development, with responsibilities that vary daily while practicing continuous improvement. The General Laborer is expected to complete a variety of tasks that contribute to the restoration process and develop their expertise through up to two industry certifications.

- Cut, bag, and lift bags of damaged drywall, carpet, pad, and debris.
- Move heavy equipment in and out of vehicles and into buildings.
- Safely move contents into secure storage.
- Source materials and equipment needed on job sites, as requested by Crew Chiefs.
- Assist in cleaning job sites post-demolition.
- Follow established safety practices and proper use of PPE.
- Be available to work on-call as needed.
- Work around approved chemicals safely, without adverse reactions.
- Ability to use and maintain hand, power, and truck-mounted tools.
- Ability to learn and apply work procedures effectively.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret written and oral instructions.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to safely move and relocate heavy objects.
- Flexibility to work varying hours or shifts.
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate with colleagues, contractors, and clients.
- Strong safety awareness and ability to apply safe work methods.
- Possess a valid Ontario G-Class Drivers License with a clean driving record.
- Pass a criminal check before employment begins.
