As a business development representative at Q-Line, youll play a key role in generating new business and expanding our market presence. This position is ideal for a results-oriented professional eager to secure new accounts, grow client relationships, and contribute to Q-Lines ambitious revenue goals. Reporting to the Director of Business Development the BDR is responsible for identifying opportunities, prospecting, and closing new accounts that align with our transportation services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify and research prospective clients in the trucking and logistics industry to build a pipeline of new business opportunities.
- Sales Outreach: Initiate contact with potential clients via calls, emails, and networking events to introduce Q-Lines services and uncover client needs.
- Relationship Building: Develop strong, long-term relationships with clients to drive ongoing business and identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Pipeline Management: Effectively manage and prioritize a sales pipeline to consistently meet or exceed monthly revenue targets.
- Client Onboarding: Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding for new clients and transition accounts to long-term account managers as needed.
- Market Analysis: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to refine sales strategies and contribute to Q-Lines go-to-market approach.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1-3 years of sales experience, ideally in a business development or sales role within the logistics, transportation industry or any transportation adjacent industries.
- Skills: Strong prospecting skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and a proven ability to build rapport quickly with potential clients.
- Attributes: Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a target-driven environment.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with CRM tools, market research methods, and a foundational understanding of trucking or logistics services is a plus.
- Locations: We are looking for individuals in both the Saskatoon & Edmonton areas. Relocation to either will be considered for the right candidate if currently residing outside these markets.
