We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with deep experience in data integration projects and iPaaS platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, testing, and supporting data pipelines, ensuring smooth data integration across systems. Expertise in Boomi iPaaS, integration design patterns, is highly desirable for this role. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flow and data accuracy. This is a full-time permanent role based in Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Develop Data Pipelines: Build and manage scalable and cost-efficient data pipelines to integrate data between various internal and external systems using Boomi iPaaS.
• Data Integration: Collaborate with Business Analysts, and business stakeholders to gather and understand requirements. Leverage Boomi iPaaS to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines between cloud and on-premise systems, ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Optimize Data piplines: Collaborate with Business Analysts, and business stakeholders to optimize data pipelines and improve overall efficiency in integrating data between systems.
• Data Governance & Quality: Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, and security throughout the lifecycle of data.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Actively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline issues in real-time to minimize disruptions.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all data integration and pipeline processes.

  Required Qualifications:

  Experience:

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Integrations Engineer, with a focus on Boomi iPaaS and data pipeline development.
• Strong experience in Boomi iPaaS, with hands-on experience building data pipelines.
• Hands on Experience working with Boomi connectors and configuring them including security setups like Basic, OAuth2 and JWT.
• Working experience with enterprise applications (eg., CRM, ERP) and their integration requirements
• Strong understanding of integration concepts, data transformation and monitoring/debugging techniques.
• Experience in Groovy scripting, error handling
• Experience with REST, SOAP and other Application API technologies
• Experience building realtime, batch and ETL integrations

Certifications:

• Boomi certified as a professional developer.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in SQL for querying and transforming data.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and tools.
• Familiarity with Databases, JSON, XML, and other data exchange formats.

  Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to actively listen and capture requirements from stakeholders
• Ability to work in an agile and fast-paced environment and aware of agile methodologies.

  Preferred Qualifications and Knowledge:

• Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.
• Knowledge and Proficiency utilizing Visualization Tools. Examples: Visio, Lucid, Chart.io, Miro etc.
• Proficiency with Task management software like Jira is a plus.
• Knowledge of Data Architectures and best practices for building out data pipelines.
