Superintendent - Aggregate Experience

Key Information:

• Must have at least 5 years in a superintendent role.
• Must have at least 15 years working with aggregate.
• Must have at least 10 years of civil construction experience.
• Civil/Underground utilities/Water & Sewer experience is an asset.
• Must be able to plan, schedule, direct crews within the budget and timeline assigned.
• Hours: Various shifts, project dependent, 12-hour days
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends (Various shift rotations)
• Hourly rate is dependent on experience.

Job Description:

• Plan, schedule, direct crews within the budget and timeline assigned.
• Provide leadership and training to General Foreman, Foreman and other field staff.
• Work with the Safety Advisors to ensure the work is performed safely.
• Plan the construction function to establish an affective organization.
• Direct the overall construction program of the project.
• Ensure project is meeting construction schedule.
• Provide leadership to promote maximum productivity on site.

Experience and Certifications:

• A minimum of 5 years in a Superintendent role required.
• A minimum of 15 years working with aggregate required.
• Water & Sewer/Underground Utilities construction experience is a asset.
• Strong communication skills.
• Equipment Operator experience or other field experience is an asset.
• Must have Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09) Certificate, WHMIS 2015, Ground Disturbance Level II and Leadership for Safety Excellence.
• Valid driver's license - Driver's Abstract is required and must be obtained within 30 days prior to employment.
• Software is heavily used within the organization processes; the candidate must have strong computer skills and have a history of working within software programs such as: Microsoft Office (Excel), and Proprietary Software.
• A reliable means of transportation is required.
• Proficient English language skills required.

Education: Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
