Position Summary
This position is responsible for planning and executing portfolio-driven strategies and activities in the recruitment of students to Bow Valley College to meet the goals of the institutions Marketing and Recruitment Plan. This includes delivering recruitment presentations, representing the College at a wide variety of events, and coordinating with key internal and external stakeholders; with the intent of attracting a demographically diverse group of domestic applicants to Bow Valley College. This position involves frequent travel within and outside of Calgary, including occasional activities/events on evenings and weekends.


Position responsibilities and accountabilities include but are not limited to:


Student Recruitment and Liaison (50%)
Represent Bow Valley College through presentations and events for prospective students and community partners.
Build and maintain relationships with schools, agencies, and businesses.
Gather and manage prospective student contacts for follow-ups.
Collaborate with internal teams to stay updated on programs and admissions.
Assist in developing recruitment materials and marketing content


Student Advising (25%)
Guide prospective students on programs, admission requirements, and career pathways.
Provide accurate information on courses, applications, and deadlines.
Utilize student information systems to support applicants and refer students to college services.


Event Management (15%)
Plan and execute recruitment events, including campus tours and open houses.
Manage event logistics, budgets, promotions, and volunteer coordination.
Oversee post-event evaluations and reporting.


Recruitment Strategy, Planning, and Evaluation (10%)
Research market trends and contribute to the recruitment strategy.
Collect and analyze data to assess recruitment efforts.

Required qualifications:
Bachelors degree
2 years work experience in an educational environment dealing with a diverse clientele
Flexibility with work hours based on operational activities
Valid Alberta drivers license and unrestricted ability to rent from an auto rental company
Ability to travel
Police information check including a vulnerable sector
An equivalent combination of directly related education and experience may be considered
If your education was received internationally we will require you provide an international education assessment through IQAS, WES, or one of the other nationally designated organizations upon hire

This opening is a two year Temporary AUPE position. Please note all successful candidates will be required to provide copies of government issued identification and proof of educational qualifications upon hire and may be required to provide an enhanced police information check.
