Our client in the building materials/construction industry is seeking a Director of Sales to join their team on full-time and permanent basis. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing a high-performing sales team, and expanding market share in North America. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a strong background in technical sales, business development, and team leadership.Reporting to: Vice President. Location: Innisfil, ON (100% on-site)Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion.

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a sales team, ensuring high performance and achievement of sales targets.

  • Establish and monitor key sales performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior leadership.

  • Identify new business opportunities and drive business development efforts.

Client & Business Development

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders.

  • Oversee the qualification of prospects, negotiations, and deal closures.

  • Provide strategic guidance for technical sales efforts and assist in high-value client discussions.

  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events.

Marketing & Brand Positioning

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance brand visibility and optimize sales materials.

  • Oversee marketing strategies, including trade show participation, promotional campaigns, and market intelligence.

  • Align marketing initiatives with sales goals to drive customer engagement and product adoption.

Team Development & Training

  • Develop training programs to enhance the technical and sales expertise of the team.

  • Foster a high-performance sales culture through coaching, mentorship, and professional development initiatives.

  • Ensure ongoing education for the sales team on industry trends, competitor activity, and new sales techniques.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in sales leadership, preferably in the building materials, construction, or industrial sectors.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Experience in technical sales and supporting complex sales cycles.

  • Ability to travel as required for client meetings, trade shows, and team oversight.
