Job Description

CEDA is currently seeking a Industrial Insulator to join our Bonnyville division. Candidates must live local to the area.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide estimates for materials required to complete jobs
• Install, maintain, and remove insulation from equipment and piping systems in compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Cut and shape insulation materials to fit specific equipment, ensuring proper coverage and sealing
• Apply insulation materials such as fiberglass, mineral wool, and foam to equipment in high-temperature and high-pressure environments
• Work with a variety of tools and equipment, including insulation saws, knives, and power tools
• Ensure that all insulation work meets company quality standards and specifications
• Collaborate with other trades and departments to ensure the timely completion of projects
• Adhere to all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations

Qualifications:

• 2+ Years of proven experience as an Industrial Insulator or in a similar role in an oilfield or industrial setting
• Journeyman Insulator status is required
• Strong knowledge of insulation materials and application methods
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
• Familiarity with safety practices and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Physical stamina and ability to work in challenging environments (heat, confined spaces, heights)
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Experience working in the oil and gas industry
• Knowledge of various types of insulation materials and their properties
• Valid minimum class 5 driver's license (GDL not accepted) and no more than 5 demerits in last 3 years on abstract
• Able to provide a negative result from a CEDA booked Alcohol & Drug testing
