Role Overview:

As the Business Development & Strategy Analyst, you will play a key role in identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, supporting corporate strategic initiatives, and driving business development efforts. This role is designed as a launchpad for a high-potential individual, with direct mentorship from the CEO and Business Development leader, positioning you for a future leadership role within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research and Opportunity Analysis

• Conduct in-depth research to identify market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities within the environmental construction sector.
• Analyze industry developments and assess new projects for technical, environmental, and financial feasibility.
• Provide strategic recommendations on potential growth areas and business opportunities.

Strategic Planning & Execution

• Develop and evaluate business cases and financial models to support corporate decision-making.
• Lead the development and execution of new business initiatives, including market entry strategies, partnerships, and service expansions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement innovative business strategies and track their success.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Establish and maintain relationships with key industry players, Indigenous partners, and decision-makers to enhance business opportunities.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking engagements.
• Deliver persuasive presentations articulating business opportunities and strategic initiatives to stakeholders.

Project Coordination & Reporting

• Organize and monitor all stages of business development projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timelines.
• Track, analyze, and report on key business development metrics and project performance.
• Prepare detailed reports, memos, and presentations for senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Experience: 0-5 years of experience in business development, strategy, or consulting. Relevant internships, co-op experience, or recent graduates with strong analytical skills are encouraged to apply.
• Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, or equivalent).Experience with financial modeling is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and ability to take initiative.
  • Interest in sustainability, environmental construction, and corporate growth strategies.
  • Experience with Environmental Services or Property Development companies is considered an asset.
