THE ROLE

As an Overhead Door/Dock Technician, you will be working at various manufacturing plants throughout the GTA, repairing Doors. This is a great permanent opportunity for someone who enjoys traveling to various sites while working for a reputable well-established company that treats you like a family member. You will be given a work truck to travel to different plants to perform repair services and preventative maintenance. The position is based out of Burlington, but 90% of your time is working offsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Travel by vehicle to job sites daily and utilize expertise to determine the extent of repairs required.
• Inspect and complete repairs of door or dock equipment as per work order.
• Able to work after regular business hours in order to respond to service calls.
• Remain current on door and dock industry products and services.
• Accurately complete daily timesheets and inspection reports.
• Ensure customers safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.
• Resolve emergency breakdown situations promptly and professionally.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 years of experience working with overhead door and dock equipment is nice to have
• welding ticket is nice to have
• Mechanical aptitude
• Excellent people and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Lifting up to 100lbs
• Available to work overtime and on call as required
• Must have reliable own transportation, G License in good standing
