Boat Cleaner

Employment Type: Part-time, 3 - 4 days/week for 4-hour morning shifts.Preferred days for shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday but there is some flexibility in scheduling the days worked.

Anticipated start date: March 3

Wage: $21.00/hr

Location: 450 Swift Street, Victoria, BC

Reporting to:

The Boat Cleaner takes direction from the Head of Maintenance with respect to daily operations. This is an important front-line, first-impression position and the Boat Cleaner is responsible for the exterior and interior cleaning of the Victoria Harbour Ferries.

Responsibilities:

Punctually arriving for scheduled shifts

Spraying boats off with a hose to clean any salt that has accumulated

Using the correct equipment to clean windows

Sweeping floors, mopping

Cleaning any deep stains with brushes and other hand tools

Sanitizing all surfaces

Cleaning the cabin and taking the trash out

Deep clean with a vacuum

Complete duties before the boats leave for the day

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Methodical and detailed

Ability to work independently
