Job Description

Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 + Bonuses

A Typical Day at EMCO and the Ensuite Bath and Kitchen Showroom:

As a Showroom Consultant, you will provide expert product selection assistance and design advice to our customers. You will ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction in order to meet or exceed the sales and gross profit targets while increasing profit-sharing. Additional duties will include:

  • Assist showroom customers in assessing their needs, directing their product selections, and closing the sale
  • Develop and build strong relationships with designers, home builders and architects to grow profitable sales
  • Provide customers with quick reliable quotes and accurate delivery dates
  • Meet or exceed monthly product specific sales and gross profit targets
  • Enter orders and quotes in the system, expedite purchases while maintaining proactive communication with customers
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues; address short payments and returns in a timely fashion that exceeds the customers' expectations and benefits of the Profit Centre
  • Drive showroom sales through the creation of promotions and help manage the advertising of the business
  • Understand and follow all safety regulations at all customer locations as well as at the Profit Centre

The right candidate will also have the opportunity to join EMCO's Strategic Development Program. The program teaches new hires with little-to-no industry experience every aspect of the business. From shipping and receiving, counter sales, to operations management. Then you'll get to know our customers, spending your time learning inside sales, outside sales and diving into the world of business development. You will become an integral part of our local team as a high performing individual contributing to the success of the entire business.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking for From You:

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and/or University degree an asset
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with customer service or sales; plumbing, kitchen or bathroom showroom sales preferred. Service and retail experience an asset
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Ability to gain comprehensive knowledge of products on display at The Ensuite, able to suggest appropriate product to suit customers' needs and promote the value-added services
  • Knowledge of kitchen and bath design trends
  • Intermediate skills of Microsoft Office software
  • Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates
  • Able to identify customer needs, provide solutions and close the sale
  • Possess excellent project management skills
  • Able to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders
  • Intermediate math skills
