Job Overview:

The Warehouse Shipper Receiver is responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse. This includes receiving shipments, checking inventory, organizing stock, and preparing outgoing orders for shipment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment with little supervision. Reach truck experience is required to safely move and organize goods within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving Shipments:
    • Unload and inspect incoming deliveries, verifying the quantity and quality of items against purchase orders or invoices.
    • Ensure items are properly stored in designated warehouse areas and maintain accurate records of received products.
  • Shipping Orders:
    • Pick and pack items according to customer orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
    • Prepare shipments for delivery, including labeling, wrapping, and ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly.
    • Coordinate with freight carriers and couriers to ensure timely and safe delivery of packages.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Maintain accurate inventory counts, perform regular stock checks, and assist with periodic inventory audits.
    • Organize and maintain the warehouse to ensure products are easily accessible and safely stored.
    • Operate a reach truck to transport goods and organize inventory within the warehouse.
  • Safety and Maintenance:
    • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.
    • Ensure proper use of reach truck equipment to avoid accidents or damage to goods.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
  • Reach truck experience is required, including the ability to safely operate the equipment and move stock in high places.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory control software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Basic math skills for inventory and order verification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, move, and carry packages weighing up to [insert weight] pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with exposure to various temperatures and conditions.
