Job DescriptionAs a Finance Manager at FLINT, you will be a strategic business partner to the operations team. Based out of our downtown Calgary office, the role entails managing financial processes, providing analytical insights, and ensuring compliance with financial controls while fostering a culture of financial accountability within the organization.
What would you be doing?
- Partner with Operations to understand business needs, provide financial insights, and present value-added reporting while maintaining compliance with financial and CSOX controls.
- Lead a team of Project Accountants, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Provide comprehensive financial support to Operations; oversee month-end cycles, conduct GL analysis, and perform forecast-to-actual variance analysis.
- Lead the development of forecasts and budgets in alignment with operational objectives.
- Optimize working capital, manage contract execution, and ensure financial terms are met. Oversee audits and provide financial expertise for proposals and contract negotiations.
- Support financial, control, and customer audits and address any findings or recommendations.
- Handle ad hoc financial projects and analysis as required.

- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or related field; an accounting designation, CPA, CMA, CA or CGA required.
- Proven experience in finance leadership and a deep understanding of financial principles and regulations including SOX compliance. Consulting or public accounting experience is considered an asset.
- Experience managing a high-performing finance team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
