Salary:
The Night Auditor serves on the overnight shift, acting as the Duty Manager. This position plays a key role in the hotel's success by anticipating guest needs and delivering exceptional, efficient service during every interaction. Additionally, the Night Auditor ensures a positive workplace atmosphere while upholding high standards of guest satisfaction and completing all-night audit procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage room availability, reservations, and room assignments.
- Welcome and register arriving guests, assigning rooms as needed.
- Provide departing guests with detailed billing statements and process payments.
- Review and verify daily transaction records, including guest accounts, receipts, and vouchers using the hotel's computerized system.
- Perform daily accounting entries and reconcile financial data.
- Run all-night audit reports, identifying and reporting any discrepancies to the Front Office Manager, General Manager, and Accounting team.
- Post any outstanding charges from previous shifts.
- Conduct the Food & Beverage audit and input necessary journal entries.
- Process credit card transactions and city ledger sequences.
- Complete system backups and run the night audit process.
- Deliver audit documentation to the Accounting department.
- Prepare and submit the daily sales and labor report.
- Generate and distribute the gratuities and porterage report.
- Compile daily room pickup and forecast reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support hotel operations.
