General Accountability:

The Marketing Specialist, Meetings, Events, and Medical Education will support the planning, coordination, and execution of all marketing activities related to conferences, meetings, events, and medical education initiatives. This role will work closely with the Senior Manager, Global Meetings, Events, and Medical Education to ensure seamless execution of projects that align with our strategic goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of national and international meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, travel arrangements, and on-site support for tradeshows, conferences and medical education events including virtual events.
  • Assist with tracking of Consultant, Clinical Advisory Board and KOL agreements, reimbursement, spend and their engagement activities and ensure compliance with tracking and submitting reimbursement and sunshine act fillings, where applicable.
  • Support managing budgets, track expenses, process invoices, and provide regular updates to the Senior Manager
  • Support the development of marketing materials and communications for events, including brochures, presentations, and promotional items.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and clinical education, to ensure alignment and effective execution of events.
  • Organize and maintain a comprehensive database of contacts, including speakers, attendees, and key stakeholders.
  • Provide post-event analysis and reports to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in event planning and medical education.

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

Key Attributes (experience, skills and technical knowledge):

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning, marketing, medical education, or a related role, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Possess a can-do attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and event management software (CVENT).
  • Ability to travel as required for events and meetings.
  • Desire to be part of a team committed to our physicians and patients.
