ABOUT YOU
As the Director of Operations, youll play a key role in shaping the future of the company, overseeing not just day-to-day operations but also driving strategic success. Grounded in a strong understanding of finance and systems-driven, youll be quick to identify challenges and implement processes that enhance efficiency across multiple departments. With a high sense of responsibility and a willingness to lead, youll optimize resources, manage teams, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality projects. Your background in maintenance contracts or the service industry will be key, as youll use your customer service expertise to build strong client relationships and ensure their satisfaction. With your ability to manage multiple departments and navigate complex challenges, youll be critical in driving operational success.
WHAT YOULL DO
Lead & Inspire Your Team
- Youll be the strategic force behind a talented team of Project Managers, Supervisors, and Field Staff. From hiring to coaching, youll develop a team that delivers on time, every time.
- Empower your team through training, mentorship, and continuous feedback to foster a culture of growth and excellence.
Optimize Operations for Maximum Efficiency
- Oversee daily operations and scheduling, ensuring all projects meet high standards of quality, safety, and profitability.
- Take charge of forecasting labor, material, and equipment needs, managing budgets, and ensuring projects stay on track.
Manage Fleet & Equipment for Long-Term Success
- Take ownership of the companys fleet and equipment, ensuring everything is running smoothly and investments are being made wisely.
- Develop and execute maintenance schedules to keep everything in top shape and maximize operational efficiency.
Drive Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Always looking for ways to do things better? So are we. Youll lead efforts to improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency, ensuring the company stays ahead of the curve.
- Regularly monitor performance metrics, identify potential roadblocks, and implement solutions before they become issues.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Operations Manager, Facility Manager, Production Manager, or 3 years as a Director of Operations in a Landscape/Grounds Maintenance company.
- A strong background in team leadership, with proven experience optimizing workflows, improving efficiency, and managing people.
- Expertise in project costing, budget management, and the ability to maintain profitability without compromising quality.
- Proven experience with CRM/ERP systems (such as Aspire), especially in production scheduling, project costing, and task management.
- A problem-solving mindset, with an ability to think on your feet and find innovative solutions to operational challenges.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust with team members, clients, and senior leadership.
