Reporting directly to the Regional Chef, the Line Cook is responsible for setting up their station, and executing all menu items to brand standards and recipe specifications while communicating effectively with the Culinary team. This individual will be responsible for supporting the Culinary teams at our four (4) venues located along Granville including Dublin Calling, Par-Tee Putt, The Yale Saloon and slate.

Dublin Calling:

Dublin Calling channels party vibes with ping pong, darts, skeeball, DJ nights and live music. Think of it as somewhere you can stop by for an after-work drink, catch any sports game on over 30+ big screen TVs, indulge in a menu filled with tasty pub grub, or even crush a night of trivia.

Par-Tee Putt:

Definitely not your Grandpas Golf Club. Par-Tee Putt is your destination for a guaranteed good time par none. This interactive mini putt experience awaits you. Play a round or two while enjoying delightful drinks and delicious eats.

The Yale Saloon:

Located in Vancouvers entertainment district on Granville Ave, The Yale Saloon presents the complete country experience. You can always expect Southern hospitality and a boot stompin good time!

Slate:

Thoughtfully designed and inspired by Vancouvers love for al fresco experiences, the classic year-round event venue is beautiful and lends itself so easily to our guests who wish to truly create a unique event of their own. With a full service team of event support, service staff, catering, entertainment booking and furniture rentals, slate. Event Space is available for private and semi-private rentals within Main Salon, The Lounge & Hideaway space

The Role

  • Ensure that orders come out simultaneously, and in a timely fashion
  • Practice FIFO
  • Set up and stock stations and ensure stock levels are ready for service
  • Prepare food for service
  • Keep all areas clean and organized at all times
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Effectively communicate with the team and offer support as their needs may require
  • Have complete knowledge of food menu as well as specials
  • Receive orders from vendors as they arrive, ensuring quality and quantity is per request before signing off
  • Keep stations clean to a high standard and assist others
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities in a fast paced environment
  • Prepare and cook high quality food on a regular basis, for special guests and functions
  • Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • 1-2 years kitchen experience required
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Familiar with industrys best practices
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Must take pride in their work and work environment
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits
  • Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
