Newforce Energy Services Ltd. is a diversified oilfield construction company with divisions in pipeline, facilities, electrical, and instrumentation. Our head office is located in Drayton Valley, AB. Newforce has an opening for an experienced Field Level Safety Advisor (FLSA).

About this Opportunity: As an FLSA, you will play a critical role in promoting a culture of safety by providing field personnel with hands-on support, guidance, and training. You will also ensure compliance with company safety policies, industry regulations, and best practices in the oil and gas industry.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3-5 years experience in a safety advisory role within the oil and gas industry.
  • Oilfield safety tickets; H2S Alive, First Aid, Common Safety Orientation.
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (NCSO, CRSP, CSP).
  • Able to read and follow maps to remote locations.
  • Strong knowledge of industry safety regulations (OHS, AER, CSA, COR, IRP, etc.)
  • Experience conducting safety training and incident investigations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong understanding of Office 365 and the ability to use technology.
  • Experience with SiteDocs is an asset.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean 3-year driver abstract.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening.

Job Duties & Responsibility

  • Conduct field-level safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for field employees.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns, recommending corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and field personnel to implement and improve safety programs.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching on safe work practices and hazard mitigation.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of safety activities, incidents, and findings.
  • Support emergency response and incident management as needed.
  • Ability to work in challenging field conditions, travel to remote sites, and work away from home as required.
  • Considerable travel may be required to implement safety programs and monitor compliance with company, industry, and government safety standards.
  • In addition to their regular work hours, Field Level Safety Advisors may be required to respond whenever safety-related incidents occur.
