Hotel Arts is currently seeking a dedicated Catering and Event Services Manager for Corporate and Conference Services. This pivotal role involves selling and overseeing all catering food, beverage, and room rental revenues within a specific market at our hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Solicit and generate new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with event planners to coordinate catering needs
  • Manage all aspects of catering, with a primary focus on food & beverage, including setup details, agendas, and event logistics to ensure client objectives are met
  • Negotiate with clients on menu planning, beverage requirements, and other event specifics
  • Confirm event details with clients and prepare necessary documentation such as Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and group resumes
  • Enforce Catering Agreements according to hotel policies
  • Coordinate with outside vendors as needed
  • Maintain pricing integrity and propose upscale menus for groups
  • Work closely with various hotel departments and vendor services to ensure seamless event execution
  • Conduct post-event follow-up with clients
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years event management experience particularly hospitality catering, hotel sales, corporate and conference event management is required
  • Post Secondary credentials including diploma or degree considered an asset
  • Proficiency in hotel sales and property management platforms such as Opera
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster productive relationships across departments
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Comprehensive understanding of event setups, space functionalities, and operations
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and eligibility for bonuses upon achieving sales targets.
