Our client, Louenhide North America, is a dynamic wholesale and retail supplier of handbags and accessories based in beautiful Kelowna, British Columbia. As a rapidly growing company distributing a well-established Australian brand, Louenhide is seeking an energetic and collaborative individual to manage the warehouse, fulfill orders, and oversee inventory on a 12-month contract. Given the company's strong growth, there is a high potential for this role to evolve into a permanent position.
As the ideal candidate, you will take ownership of receiving, shipping, and refining warehouse systems. You will ensure the warehouse is consistently organized, with efficient processes in place to facilitate the prompt and accurate shipping of orders.

Responsibilities will include:
- Completing inventory counts and adjustments;
- Checking all stock for discrepancies or damage;
- Planning for arrival of large shipments and effective warehouse layout;
- Managing teams of temporary staff in putting away new inventory and moving inventory between locations;
- Picking and packing of orders ranging from single items to large multi-box and even-pallet shipments;
- Preparing retail orders with tissue paper, nice wrapping, thank you notes, etc;
- Building relationships with external shipping/delivery companies;
- Research and development of shipping channels;
- Assisting in preparation of goods for trade shows and showrooms;
- Generating stock/inventory reports as needed;
- Customer service where required for order information/payment and in a developing role;
- Answering phone calls when other staff are out of office for trade shows and travel.
Requirements
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office programs including Word and Excel;
- Advanced skills with computer/typing and web;
- Excellent written and communication skills on all mediums – email, phone, personal;
- Proven ability to problem solve and make sound decisions;
- Strong organizational and planning skills, eye for detail with the ability to prioritize;
- Ability to collaborate with team members and assist with ongoing and ever-changing business needs;
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information;
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team;
- Positive disposition and desire to dig in, step up and work in collaboration with the owner to build her business in a meaningful way.
This is a full-time role that requires walking, standing, sitting and lifting boxes up to 50 lbs independently. We are looking to fill the role as soon as possible and we will be screening candidates as they apply. We anticipate offering the successful candidate a competitive salary of $55,000 annually.
