Are you a Practice Manager who has experience in the healthcare sector that is a strong leader, can build teams and foster collaborative working relationships?
SIEL Human Solutions is looking to hire a Temporary Full-Time Practice Manager for a 6-month contract (with the possibility of the position being extended or becoming permanent). The successful incumbent will need to be available 4-5 days per week where they can work directly in a clinical setting. This role is not a hybrid or remote position.
In this new role, the Practice Manager will work directly with our client in a growing mixed animal rural animal practice in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan, where they will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business. This role will have back-office support from the SIEL Human Solutions team.

WHAT YOULL BRING:
- Post secondary education in business, healthcare administration or equivalent.
- 5 years experience in a clinical setting or in a similar role
- Strong computer skills: MS Office, scheduling software
- Experience in budgeting and financial management.
- Knowledge of human resources practices and regulations
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge or principles of inventory management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a multi-faceted team.
- Ability to communicate ideas, express opinions and respond to team members in appropriate and respectful ways. Involves using upbeat tone, displaying positive body language, actively listening and understanding the value of differing opinions or ideas.
- Appropriately delivers information in a manner that is complete, clear, concise, organized and appropriate to the audience.

WHAT YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
- Manage and consult on the daily operations of the clients business, providing expert advice on issues related to the operations of the business (ie: HR, Finance, Vendor Management, Inventory Management, Marketing, etc).
- Develop strategic business planning for client
- In conjunction with the owner, ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Problem-solve, seek answers or information and handle complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Develop, maintain, promote and implement adherence to policies, procedures and protocols.
- HR Management: Oversee the scheduling and management of staff, including the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, disciplining, performance evaluations and termination of staff.
- Provide on-going, timely and effective constructive feedback. Involves providing team members with clear performance expectations and feedback in a manner that is respectful, builds confidence and maintains self-esteem.
- Provide team members with ongoing coaching, cross-training, mentoring and training opportunities to set them up for continued success. Involves collaborating with team members for bi-annual performance check-ins and working with team members to develop goals.
- Operational Management: contribute objectives and efficiencies for profitable operations, streamlining processes, and optimizing workflow
- Responsible for financial management including budgeting, forecasting and A/P and A/R responsibilities.
- Oversight of inventory management. Oversee inventory to ensure appropriate stocking and pricing
- Positively represent SIEL Human Solutions and the client in a professional manner within the community and to the public.
- Lead change initiatives, develop and implement performance improvement plans
- Lead the training, professional development and recruitment for the client
- Track, monitor and evaluate overall key performance metrics against established key performance indicators.
