Wage range: Remuneration is fee-for-service, supplemented by on-call and administrative sessional payments.
Primary locations: CASA Fort Road, CASA West
Union: Exempt
FTE: Up to 0.5 FTE; negotiable.

Core is the first stop for most families who come to CASA. The program serves children ages three to 17 and provides general mental health treatment for a wide range of concerns. From Core, the therapist is able to sep families up or down into more appropriate levels of service if needed.

About the Role

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist will:
- Have an interest and skills in assessment, treatment and program development.
- Work in a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, therapists, nurses, psychologists, therapy support navigators, concurrent counsellors, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists.
Qualifications
- Candidates must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Psychiatry and preferably have subspecialty certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
- An interest in education of residents and students is highly desirable as the successful candidate is expected to apply for an Academic Appointment in the Department of Psychiatry (University of Alberta).
Conditions of Employment
- A satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Intervention Check. This would be the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.
- Following the interview process, selected candidates must successfully complete the credentialing process prior to being appointed as a member of the medical staff.
