Please proceed using the link: https://app.traits.com/survey/a56e7669-2ba6-4573-83cd-800831da5362POSITION OVERVIEW:Startec Compression and Process is currently recruiting a Process Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) to work at our Glenmore Office location (Suite 240, 4000 Glenmore Court SE, Calgary, AB, T2C 5R8). The Process E.I.T. is a developmental role focused on gaining hands-on experience in process engineering for facility design and operations. The EIT will support process design and optimization, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and apply engineering principles in data analysis and research. This role aims to develop practical skills and exposure to facility processes, ultimately preparing the individual to become a proficient Process Engineer in facilities engineering.KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):PROJECT ENGINEERING SUPPORT (Weighting 50%)Process Design
- Support the process engineering team in designing, analyzing, and optimizing facility processes.
- Assist with developing process flow diagrams, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and process simulations.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to improve process efficiency and performance.
- Contribute to process optimization initiatives and implement new technologies.
- Analyze process data, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Use simulation and modeling tools to optimize operations and performance.
- Maintain project documentation, including reports, data sheets, and technical specifications.
- Contribute to project progress reports, meeting minutes, and change orders.
- Ensure accurate records of process design documentation and drawings.
- Assist in developing SOPs and process control guidelines.
- Provide updates on process engineering activities through reports and presentations.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success.
- Participate in decision-making meetings and support technical problem-solving.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support process-related activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Assist with HAZOP studies and risk assessments to mitigate potential risks.
- Collaborate with safety teams to develop and implement safety protocols.
- Participate in training and professional development to enhance technical skills.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices for BOP systems.
- Seek guidance from senior engineers for professional growth.
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of process engineering principles.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) preferred.
- Familiar with process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
- Basic knowledge of safety regulations and compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to produce accurate technical documentation.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing project requirements.
