What you will be Doing:

Assist with the installation and setup of automation systems, including wiring, programming, and configuring controllers, sensors, and actuators.

Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with automated equipment, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.

Perform systematic testing to pinpoint malfunctions in PLCs, sensors, actuators, and communication networks.

Assist in programming and configuring PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), and other automation devices.

Modify existing programs under the guidance of senior technicians or engineers.

Instrumentation, electrical and control system design support.

Provide support to project managers with a solid understanding of project execution procedures and functions such as scheduling, budget development and maintenance and scope tracking.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

5 years of experience in an Instrumentation & Electrical maintenance role.

Focused experience in the oil and gas industry preferred.

Instrumentation Engineering Technologist or Instrumentation Journeyman.

Electrical Engineering Technologist or Electrical Journeyman.

RTU experience with one or more of the following vendor systems: ABB Totalflow/RMC, Emerson ROC/FloBoss, Schneider Electric SCADAPack.

Knowledge of PLC & HMIs (such as Allen-Bradley, Idec, Siemens).

Knowledge and experience with various industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet IP, Profibus. ROC, etc).

Basic understanding of electrical schematics and control diagrams.

Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment.

Experience with on-site commissioning and start-up.

Understanding of industrial environments, engineering, and production processes.

Excellent English, written and verbal communication skills.

Must possess a valid Drivers License and clean abstract.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and organizational skills

Quick learner; able to adapt to new technologies rapidly.

A structured approach to problem solving and project execution with the ability to plan, prioritize, and work under pressure to meet expectations and deadlines.

Ability to work successfully both individually and within team environments.

Highly motivated & ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner.
