Job Description

Position Summary:
Responsible for coordinating and managing the day-to-day scheduling, organization, and processing of deliveries and shipments for line haul operations. This role ensures timely and efficient transportation of goods while maintaining communication with drivers, third-party carriers, and Group Leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate deliveries and shipments based on delivery advice, customer needs, and operational capacity.
  • Ensure Group Leaders receive load sheets and required paperwork promptly, properly sequenced for loading operations.
  • Manage dock allocations to ensure smooth loading and unloading processes.
  • Communicate with third-party carriers for scheduling pickups and deliveries.
  • Process all orders, ensuring accurate documentation for both electronic and hard copy records.
  • Create and manage export documentation as required, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Monitor and update shipment statuses in the system, ensuring all shipped products are accurately recorded.
  • Resolve any operational issues, such as delays or miscommunications, efficiently and professionally.

Additional Duties:

  • Provide ongoing support to shunt drivers, ensuring they have the necessary information and tools.
  • Monitor line haul schedules and adjust as needed to optimize efficiency and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address capacity planning and resource allocation.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of processes to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
  • Strong ability to adapt quickly to new processes and systems.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in distribution, logistics, or dispatching.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including logistics software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • High level of commitment to deadlines and company standards.
  • Proven ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with drivers, internal teams, and external carriers.

SHIFT: 2:00pm – 10:30pm (training during the day and afternoon shift)
