Job Summary: The HR Generalist is a key player in supporting Human Resources management at Clements Centre Society (CCS). In collaboration with Clements Centres leadership team and assisted by the HR Assistant, the HR Generalist is responsible for the full cycle of employee management, including recruitment; training and orientation; supporting internal processes related to performance management, investigations and discipline; and retention; as well as supervision of casual employees. Working with CCS leadership team, the position provides oversight of HR processes and documentation, to ensure compliance with all government and funding agency regulations, and collective bargaining. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
Functions and tasks of the position will include recruitment and onboarding duties, maintenance of hiring and training documents, and job descriptions, training and development activities, performance management monitoring, ensuring compliance to WorkSafe BC, BCGEU and CSSEA reporting requirements, CARF-related quality assurance and reporting, among other duties.
Education, Training and Experience
Minimum Requirement: Diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent
Desired: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, with a major in Human Resource Management
Three years experience in all aspects of personnel management
One year minimum experience in a union environment
One year minimum experience in a not-for-profit environment; CARF fluency ideal

Excellent organizational, time management, general management, and planning skills
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Excellent computer literacy, including fluency in working with information management platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and networks

The successful candidate will work at Clements Centres Admin Offices. Schedule negotiable. Hybrid work an option
