Job DescriptionJob Title: GSOC Operator
Location: Mississauga, ON
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Shifts:Continental:(19:00 - 07:00) - (Wk1: Mon,Tues, Fri, Sat.) (Wk2: Sun, Wed, Thur,)
Special Note: Must be willing to work weekends and holidays if needed.
Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. This position involves providing security and monitoring services with a focus on maintaining a safe and secure environment for all personnel and assets.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Monitor security systems to identify, investigate, and respond to adverse and irregular events following Standard Operating Procedures (i.e. alarms, access control systems, temperature monitoring systems, intrusion detection systems)
- Escalate incidents and events reported by client personnel and security guards to the appropriate stakeholders (e.g. Facilities Management, Network Operations, Corporate Security, etc.)
- Triage and manage inbound requests to the GSOC from employees, security guards, and other partners or external agencies (e.g. Alarm Monitoring Stations, Law Enforcement, etc.)
- Utilize various communications systems (telephone, email, Instant Messaging, 2-Way radio, etc.) to collect information and dispatch services.
- Create and complete accurate and detailed incident reports for incidents that are observed by the GSOC or reported to Security and Protection Services.
- Conduct active monitoring of physical locations and utilize CCTV to conduct virtual security patrols.
- Maintain an accurate and detailed shift report.
- Complete service requests assigned to the GSOC as required.
- Work with a team and team leader to ensure effective communication of events that occurred during shift and any on-going events (i.e. facilities emergencies waiting for action, etc.)
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS :
- 1-2 years of experience working in security.
- Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
- Must be at least 18 years old or above for insurance purposes
- High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
- Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
- First Aid and CPR
- Must be able to work outside in the elements
