Job Scope
Reporting to the President, the Heavy Haul Truck Driver is expected to coordinate and collaborate with the logistics to ensure the safe, smooth, and effective Transportation of over-dimensional goods and services for our clients across Canada.
Job Responsibilities
Maintain effective communication with the Logistics and the Leadership team and follow directive.
Conduct mandatory inspections such as Pre-trip inspections, Post- Trip Inspections, intermediate inspections, JHA, and FLRA.
Assess the assigned loads by confirming load measurements, including dimensions and weight distribution, additional rigging equipment requirements, potential safety concerns.
Troubleshoot problems and perform minor on-the-road maintenance while maintaining open communication with the Fleet Coordinator.
Coordinate with the Shipper/Receiver.
Comply with Canadian Federal regulations, DOT, laws.
Maintain HOS compliance using Elogs.
Transport over-dimensional loads using multi-axle trailers within Canada.
Coordinate with the Logistics for required permits or interpretation.
Send Load pictures to ensure securements is compliant with industry standards.
Maintain housekeeping of the overall Truck and Trailer.
Ensure minimal PPE requirements are met where required.
Always maintain a Safety Mindset and contribute to a Positive Workplace Culture.
Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications Required:
Class 1 License with Air Brake
Over-dimensional experience
Minimum of 5 multi-axle experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience operating Flat Deck/Bed
Minimum of 3 years of experience operating Oversize/Overweight Loads
Fluent in English
Work Environment and Conditions
Exposure to dust, dirt, shop noise, water, and vibrations
Severe weather exposure such as extreme cold or heat.
Exposure to vibrations
