Responsibilities:

  • Has technical background with skid steer attachments.
  • Operate skid steer loaders and other related machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Attach and operate various implements, including buckets, forks, augers, and more.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Assist with material handling, digging, grading, and site preparation.
  • Follow safety protocols to avoid hazards and accidents on site.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Perform tasks such as clearing debris, leveling ground, and moving materials around job sites.
  • Adhere to all company policies and local regulations for equipment operation.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials from trucks when needed.

Qualifications & Must Haves:

  • Proven experience operating skid steer loaders, with a minimum of 2 years in the field.
  • Valid operator certification or equivalent (e.g., OSHA, Skid Steer Certification).
  • Ability to operate a variety of skid steer attachments effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures and equipment operation.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic maintenance tasks on machinery.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Valid drivers license (BC preferred but not required).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to make decisions on the job site.

Nice to Haves (But Not Necessary):

  • Have access to own vehicle or reliable transportation.
  • Has Fall Protection, First Aid and/or WHMIS.
  • Tickets in Heavy Equipment Use.
  • Lives Close to Vancouver.
