Job duties include:
- IPAC audits, policies
- Day to day surveillance monitoring of resident, staff symptoms/line listing
- PPE ordering and maintaining proper levels of supplies
- Education for outbreaks, onboarding, in the moment and annual for all departments, volunteers and families
- Work closely with Environment Services/Nutrition Service Manager and team to ensure best practice processes and guidelines are in place.
- Coordinate Huddles with teams when in suspect or confirmed outbreak situations
- Communication with families, staff, public health, residents
- Networking with HPPU, Advantage Ontario
- Maintain certification requirements
- Quality Indicators and Reporting
- CI reporting to Ministry of LTC
- Monitor IPAC budget line and tracking
- Implement and track hand hygiene program and monitor for staff, residents, family, and volunteers
- Oversee Immunization and Vaccine Clinics
- Work in collaboration with Woodland Towers IPAC lead
- Lead the following programs:
- Skin & Wound
- Continence Lead
- Skin & Wound:
- Weekly wound assessments
- Educate interdisciplinary teams
- Order and stock wound care supplies
- Audits of expired products
- Audit UDA
- Continence:
- Educating interdisciplinary teams
- Ordering product
- Oversee and update product spreadsheets and product delivery
- Audit resident rooms for overstock
- Liaise with product rep for education and consulting for product trials
- Audit UDA
- Monitor annual budget
- Certified RN/RPN in good standing with the College of Nurses
- Current CPR
- IPAC certification
- Experience in LTC will be considered an asset
- Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
- Current and clear criminal check from a Canadian Police Information Centre, including vulnerable sector check completed within the last six months
- Proof of a previous step 2 TB test
- OMERS pension plan

- Premium pay for evening, midnight and weekend shifts
- On-site parking
- 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday
