Job Title: Security Professional - Night Rover
Location: Waterloo, ON
Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $20.70 / per hour
Shifts: 11pm - 8am, Monday to Friday
We are looking for Security Professional- Night Rover in a corporate building who is responsible for conducting regular patrols and ensuring the safety and security of the building during nighttime hours. Their duties typically involve a mix of physical surveillance, monitoring systems, patrolling in company vehicle and responding to incidents or irregularities.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Incident Reporting: Document and report incidents accurately, ensuring all relevant details are captured for future reference and analysis.
- Vehicle Patrols & Inspections: Conduct regular and systematic patrols of the building and surrounding property using a company AUS vehicle. This includes monitoring the perimeter, parking areas, entryways, and grounds for any security threats or irregular activities.
- Parking Lot & Grounds Monitoring: Monitor parking lots, loading docks, and external grounds for any suspicious activity. Ensure that all vehicles on site are properly parked and that the grounds are secure.
Professional Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication through email correspondence with team members and other stakeholders.
- Access Control: Ensure that only authorized personnel are entering or leaving the building after hours. Verify the identification of employees, visitors, and contractors using the appropriate security protocols.
Emergency Response: Act swiftly in emergency situations, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.
Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of incidents, inspections, and other relevant documentation for compliance and review.
REQUIREMENTS :
- 1-2 years of experience working in a security sector.
- Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
- 5 continuous years of living in Canada is a requirement.
Must have a G License.
- Must be at least 25 years of age or older
Obtain a Clean Driver's abstract for insurance purposes.
- High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.
- Must be able to obtain site-specific security clearance
- Familiarity with operating technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- First Aid and CPR
