Country Line Dancing
(6-week program)
The Town of Wasaga Beach's Recreation team is seeking a Country Line Dancing Program Facilitator for a 6-week program, to create and teach Country Line Dancing. Candidates should be energetic and enthusiastic individuals with a solid foundation in facilitating Country Line Dancing classes.
Reporting to the Recreation Programmer, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating and delivering Country Line dancing curriculum, skill development, large group supervision, lesson planning and implementation, attendance tracking, program communication/relations with participants.
Additional duties include:

• Plans, organizes and instructs safe and enjoyable classes;
• Assists with Setting up and taking down necessary equipment for the program;
• Reports any incidents/accidents and/or areas of concern to supervisor;
• Monitors and maintains attendance;
• Interacts with staff, participants and the public to provide program information;
• Ensures safe use, condition and storage of equipment.

QUALIFICATONS:

• Experience in planning, implementing line dancing for a variety of ages and abilities;
• Current First Aid /CPR/AED;
• Friendly disposition with knowledge of Principles of Healthy Aging;
• Experience in conflict resolution, problem solving and behaviour management;
• Good knowledge and understanding of all relevant regulations, policies and excellent customer service;
• Knowledge of AODA standards, program modifications to ensure inclusiveness in all programs
• Ability to provide an appropriate vulnerable sector criminal records check upon hire;
• Certification in Parks and Recreation Ontario's Principles of Healthy Aging considered an asset;

Hourly Wage: $30.44- $35.61
