Cascadia Metals is actively seeking qualified candidates for the Outside Forklift Operator/Yard Worker position to work from our Brandon branch.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts with capacities of up to 36,000 lbs. within the warehouse and yard.
• Receive, organize and ship metal coils and sheet and structural steel
• Assist with moving and unloading rail cars
• Scanning loads with an RF scanner
• Reading paperwork to ensure the accuracy of incoming and outgoing loads
• Operate band saws and other types of hand tools and equipment
• Operate skid steer for snow clearing and yard maintenance
• Maintain the yard - clean, safe and organized
• Other duties as required

Requirements:

• Experience in operating forklifts and related equipment
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
• Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• Self-starter - maintains a sense of urgency.
• Able to read orders and complete essential paperwork
