Position: Intake Worker - 7 hours per week with the possibility of additional variable hours.
Responsible To: Executive Director
Location: Main Office, North Bay
Special Requirements: May be required to offer evening services
Job Summary: The Intake Worker serves as a crucial link between initial client contact and the establishment of ongoing services within the agency's various programs. This role involves conducting intensive interviews to gather significant information on client needs for analysis, assessment, community referrals, and case assignment. The Intake Worker ensures the collection of personal, demographic, and financial data for developing client statistics and applicable fees for services across all programs. The Intake Worker maintains confidential records as per agency policies and completes reports as required by legislation and ethics.
Additionally, the Intake worker contributes to effective program development and marketing through the input and retrieval of automated data on client requests and serves as backup to the Intake Coordinator during absences.
Qualifications:
- BA/SSW/MA/MSW in social sciences or equivalent
- Registration with a regulatory college that grants the ability to practice Psychotherapy.
- Related clinical experience in Violence Against Women, Sexual Assault, Addictions, Developmental Disabilities.
- Cultural competency and safety for indigenous peoples training.
- Knowledge of personality theory, developmental psychology, family systems theory, family development, group dynamics, and learning theory.
- Valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a vehicle.
- Oral fluency in both official languages is essential.
Salary: As per the collective agreement, BA/BSW or diploma salary grid
