Forbes Bros. Ltd. is currently looking for an experienced full-time, permanent Hydrovac Operator to join our growing team based out of Prince Albert, SK.

The Hydrovac Operator will be responsible for the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of units to support various construction/maintenance and operate multiple vehicles as required to complete and meet assigned work requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lives Forbes Bros. value of WE WORK SAFE & never compromising on safety in all aspects of our every day
• Responsibly drive and operates hydro-vac units to complete tasks associated with daylighting, excavation, trenching and shorting
• Rigging in and out of equipment, hoses, fittings, pipes, etc., as per specification
• Successfully read and understand civil drawings and determine appropriate calculations and adjustments in grades
• Perform pre and post trip inspections, diagnosis, roadside repairs, and general cleanup of rubble and debris from worksites
• Perform general housekeeping to ensure Hydro Vac is clean and operating appropriately
• Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
• Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned

What We Are Looking For:

• Minimum one (1) year of experience operating Hydro-vac, is required
• Valid Class 3 Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement, is required
• Experience in underground construction, preferably Powerline construction; an asset
• Valid Safety Certifications including Ground Disturbance, First Aid, H2S Alive an asset
• Able and willing to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy lifting
• Ability to work in field/site with travel and work hour flexibility to accommodate to remote/site work schedules
• Able and willing to present an acceptable five (5) year drivers abstract
