Job Description: Assistant Project Manager

Location: Barrie, Ontario
Company: General Contractor specializing in ICI and Residential Projects (Toronto, Ontario)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team for an exciting project in Barrie, Ontario. As an APM, you will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality ICI and Residential construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site teams to ensure timely execution of project deliverables.
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, and timelines, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and manage documentation, including RFI submissions, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Support quality control and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and alignment with project goals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in construction project coordination or management, preferably in ICI or Residential projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and project management software.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to work on-site in Barrie and occasionally travel to Toronto as required.
