Summary

Shuttle Drivers are responsible for providing safe, efficient, and enjoyable transportation for guests and team members travelling to and from the Zipline landing area. Serving as essential ambassadors of the WildPlay brand, they take pride in their professionalism and consistently go above and beyond to ensure a positive and memorable experience for everyone they transport, contributing to the overall guest experience.

To succeed as a Shuttle Driver, you bring a positive, patient, and dependable attitude to every journey. You excel at making others feel welcome and use strong communication skills to interact effectively with both guests and team members. You're proactive and take initiative when required. As a team player, you collaborate seamlessly with others to enhance the guest experience and embody WildPlays commitment to safety, service, and unique experiences.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Shuttle Driver's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Driving safely and responsibly
  • Being prepared for all road conditions
  • Respecting fellow employees, equipment, and customers
  • Pre and post trip checks of the shuttle each time it is used (emphasis on ensuring adequate fluid levels)
  • Completion of all applicable paperwork required, including vehicle inspections
  • Maintaining radio contact with the use of proper radio protocol
  • Management of passenger behaviour by quickly and effectively solving problems
  • Maintaining a clean shuttle
  • Report unsafe conditions and any injuries
  • Beingthoroughlyknowledgeablein promotions across the company
  • Soliciting feedback and experiences from guests, and relaying important feedback to the Leadership Team

Required Qualifications and Skills

The Shuttle Driver must possess the following qualifications, skills and attributes:

  • A valid Ontario full G drivers licence
  • Excellent driving skills and abilities
  • Capable of driving a variety of equipment (ex: Kawasaki mule, John Deere tractor, golf cart)
  • Ability to consistently deliver high standards of work in all weather conditions, including persistent heat, sun, humidity, and temperature changes
  • Organized, punctual, and reliable
  • Patient, pleasant, and helpful
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • A team player with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and reliable
  • The ability to maintain a positive attitude
  • Friendly, outgoing personalityand proactive nature.
  • Must be able to walk 500 metres
  • Physical demands may include carrying and lifting Zipline equipment, frequent walking/ standing, sitting and possible bending/twisting/kneeling

Note: On-the-job training will be provided upon employment.

Work Department

Shuttle Drivers fall under the Element Department. They report to the Landing Supervisor, Element Supervisor, and Park Management.

Work Schedule

Flexible schedule of full-time or part-time work based on the needs of the business.Schedule demands include working evenings, weekends, and holidayswhen appropriate and beneficial to job responsibilities.

*Student Wage: $16.20/hr*
