Events and Studio Manager

Position Overview

As the Events and Studio Manager, you'll lead the planning, design, and execution of all our programs and team events. You'll manage relationships with VIPs, speakers, and executives, ensuring seamless event experiences from conception to completion. Financial acumen is key as you'll oversee event budgets and manage travel logistics. Your role will be pivotal in producing events that align with our mission and exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Program Event Management:

  1. Plan, Design, and Execute World-Class Events: Take ownership of planning, designing, and executing exceptional in-person and remote events across all Martell Media programs. Ensure every event reflects a standard of excellence that aligns with Martell Media's commitment to delivering unparalleled experiences.
  2. Manage VIP and Speaker Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with VIPs, event speakers, and executives. Coordinate with them closely to enhance event participation and engagement, ensuring their experience aligns seamlessly with our event goals.
  3. Financial Oversight: Lead financial management for events, meticulously managing budgets to optimize costs without compromising on quality. Implement robust financial controls and reporting to ensure transparency and accountability in expenditure, and staying within budget.
  4. Studio and Merchandise Management: Lead and manage the Kelowna Studio which includes ensuring the space is kept to the highest standards on a daily basis, regular ordering for the studio and coordinating with contractors.
  5. End-to-End Event Production Management: Take full ownership of event production, overseeing the creation and delivery of all event materials such as workbooks, signage, and backdrops. Ensure every aspect of event production meets high standards of quality and is delivered on time and within budget constraints.

Team Event Management:

  1. Workplace Recognition Program: Develop and oversee the workplace recognition program, implementing strategies to celebrate team achievements and milestones, enhancing morale and employee satisfaction.
  2. Team Social Calendar Management: Curate and manage the team social calendar, organizing diverse events that promote team bonding and our culture.

Experience and Qualifications

Required

  1. Proven experience in planning and executing large-scale events, both in-person and remote.
  2. Strong financial management skills with experience managing event budgets effectively.
  3. Exceptional organizational and project management abilities, capable of multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  1. Familiarity with event management software and tools to streamline processes and enhance event experiences.
  2. Creative thinker with a knack for innovative event concepts and experiences.
